Running up your Wicked 8 Ball Tourney
To run your tourney you first need to log into the td center (click link to log in). This guide will walk you through step by step on running your tourney from beginning to end.
Look at the list in the td center and find the link for administer tournaments and click on that.

Once you click on that link this is what you will see:

Select the tourney that you wish to work with from your list of tourneys. To select a tourney click on the bold numbers in the I.D. # column and you will be taken to the administration page for that tourney.
The first step in running a tourney is to open check-in:
You must open check-in for your tourney 30 min prior to start time. This is to allow people who wish to play in your tourney that time to check-in at the same time as registering for your tourney. You open check-in at the same time that you begin addying for your tourney in the lobby of the California Saloon.
The next step is to close check-in:

Once you close check-in no other players can join your tourney. You cannot close until you have at least 4 players in your tourney. You must start your tourney at the listed start time unless you do not have enough players and then you are allowed to close up to 15 min past the listed start time. However if you have 4 you need to close on time and if you do not have 4 you must close as soon as you do have 4 players in. Try not to take the full 15 min after listed start time to close. This can cause overlapping issues with the next tourney.
Now this is what you see when you close check-in:

This is telling you that the pairings are up and ready for you to start assigning your matches out for round 1. If you do not have enough players for 8 rounds (which is what all tourneys are set for) cases will automatically reduce the number or rounds as necessary upon closing check-in. Click return to administer tourney.
Here is what you see now at the tourney admin page:

This is telling you that your tourney is currently in progress and your matches are not yet reported.

This is a list of the players that are in your tourney and the information about them.

This is your pairing bracket. This is what you will look at to send out your pairings. The top name in a bracket sets the bottom name in a bracket. The standings will automatically be adjusted by cases upon reporting of the winner of the match to the tourney page.
Now we will discuss how to report matches to tourney page:

This is what you will see on the tourney administration page. There will be a link for each round of the tourney as the tourney advances.
You start with round 1 and click on the link for it and it will bring up a screen that looks like this:

The names listed in red are the currently listed winner for this round in thier match. To report someone as a winner you will click on the name of the winner in thier match.
Doing this will bring up a screen that looks like this:

This will confirm who you have selected as the winner and give you the option to continue to adjust round results. You will keep doing this until all matches from that round are completed. You will then, after the final match for that round is reported, return to administer your tourney. The pairings bracket that we discusses above will now show the next round of pairings. You will continue this process for reporting matches for all rounds until a winner has been reached.
Once all rounds have been completed and you have a winner in your tourney
you will see this:
(Click the links listed in white bold in the blue boxes for each step.)

This confirms that your file is updated. Click return to administer tourney.

This step will update the player records for this wins and losses in this tourney.

This will process the entry fees for the tourney. This option will be here even if no entry fee is charged.

This will award the ladderbux prizes. This option will be here even if there is no prize.

This confirms that bux were awarded. These are the winnings that you will announce in the lobby to your players. Click return to administer tourney.

This will report the matches to the ladder for stats.

This confirms that matches have been reported. DO NOT touch your browser while this is going on or you can cause problems with the tourney. If the matches do not report correctly you will recieve and option to rerun them. However if you do everything correctly this should not happen. Click return to admister tourney.

This is the last step in running a tourney. This will close the tourney out and list it as completed.

Your tourney is now completed! Click on return to administer tourney.

This will be the last thing you see once you have run a tourney. This confirms that all steps have been completed. You have not sucessfully completed a tourney!!
