Customizing a Tournament on Cases Ladder System
After your tourney is created you are ready to make it look all cool and pretty like I do, well almost, cant share all my secrets just yet...lol...Anyway at the bottom of the page you will see a link that says customize tournament layout, as in the picture below. Click on it Please.
Ok, next thing you should do is go to our website to find your graphics at
http://www.wicked8ball.com
Then click on the TD HELP CENTER LINK, you will find all kinds of pictures, backgrounds and music as well on this site and are allowed to link to them from here as well. Find a Picture that you want for your page. Once you have decided on the one you want, right click on the picture, then click on properties as shown in the diagram below.
Then you hilite the address "url" by holding down the left click button all the way across the address, right click again on the hilighted address and click copy. See diagram below.
You are now ready to put the picture on the customize tournament layout. At the top on the left you should see where it says Top Image Link, to the right of it is a small white box. If there is a address in it already delete it, then right click on the box and click on paste. Your image will now be in place. See diagram below.
Now you are ready to do a Background. You do this the same way as you just did the Top Image. Find the Background you want, again Right Click on the Background, click on properties, hilite the address "url" by running your mouse over the entire address while holding down the left click button, then right click on the hilighted address, click on copy. Again on the Customize Tournament Layout page, The 6th Heading down will say *Background Image. Again delete any address already in there, then right click on the blank box and click paste. Your Background Image is now in place. See diagram below.
Now you are ready to choose music if you want it. On the website go to the midis section. Click on the Midi Instructions Link. This will explain to you how to put music on the page. The code and link for the song goes in the 2nd Box on the Customize Tournament Layout Page which is called the Custom HTML, the biggest white box, right click and paste the code in that box and your music will now be in place. Please see diagram below.
The last step is choosing your colors. Click on the HTML Color Chart, this gives you the codes of tons of colors, you will use the code to the far right, as shown in the diagram below.
Ok, I will now define what the colors mean and you can check reference on the diagram below. Tourney Template always stays at 1, cause there is only 1. Font Type should be left how it is unless you are familiar with fonts. Color Schemes, these are certain color themes cases has already put together for you, feel free to browse thru them and see if there are any you might like. Background Color, is just that the background color of the tourney page and pairings page, this should be either Black #000000 or White #FFFFFF so that all colors will show up properly. Link Color is the color of the Register, Rules etc. Links. Text color is the color of the Text next to the links. Header Background Color is the colored tags that state the Tourney Info and Times. Header Text Color is the color of the text on the Header Background. Small Header Color is the color on the left that states the TD, Date, Ladder and Times etc. Title color is the color of the Title at the top of the Page.
This is the last thing on this particular area. If you want the picture and backgrounds that you have chosen to be your default page, meaning they will be there each time you create a tourney then check the "Set these Colors as your default colors when creating a new Tournament." Then click Submit and you will have a nice pretty tourney page. Now you can go back and change anything at anytime, you have to click submit each time for the changes to take place.
