Creating a Tournament on Cases Ladder System

The first step is to log into the td center (click link to log in). Use your normal ladder name and password. You can change the password once in the td center. The main focus of this guide is on creating a tourney.

So look at the list in the td center and find the link that says Create Tournament and click that.

This is what you will see once you go into create a tourney:

As a new td you will be doing only Bracket Style (Single-Elim.) You will be trained on Swiss and Double-Elim when you have completed at least 10 Singel-Elim tourneys. Swiss and Double-Elim are not required unless you wish to learn them or you are striving to be a head td. So select that option and click on submit.

This is what you will see once you click on submit to create the tourney:

This is a calendar and it will be for the month that your setting your tourney for. The numbers in yellow represent how many tourneys are currently on the calendar for that day. Select the day you want your tourney on and click on the yellow number that is listed for that day.

This represents a time calendar for that day. Tourneys for Wicked 8 Ball are set on the hour (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 am and PM). You are not allowed to set tourneys off the hour unless they are a last minute tourney and no other tourneys are listed on the calendar. When scheduling tourneys in advance set them on the hours listed above only. Pick the time you want your tourney for (making sure there is not a tourney listed there already) and click on the time in yellow. (*Note - You must allow 1 1/2 hours for a Swiss tourney to complete and 2 hours for a Double-Elim tourney to complete before setting your tourney.)

This is what you will see when you have selected your time slot for your tourney:

Select a name for your tourney. No foul language or sexual comments.
Location for tourney Cali Saloon or California Saloon.
Number of rounds in tourney is ALWAYS 8.
Minutes between start times is 15.
Number of players per team is always 1 unless your doing a partner tourney then set to 2.
Teams competing per match is always 2.
Membership requirements is ALWAYS set to none.
Multiple day tourney is never marked.
Invitation only tourney is never marked unless your doing a TOC (which is currently done by wickedsisntaz).
Ladder stats tourney is always marked.
The last two options on this section area always marked as well.

Now we will discuss ladder bux settings:

For your first 5 tourneys you are not allowed to charge an entry fee or give a prize.
For tourneys 6-10 you will be allowed to give prize to top finisher but not charge and entry fee.
For tourneys 11 and above you will be able to charge an entry fee and give a prize.

Once you have completed your 6th tourney you will receive bux for hosting the tourney. This will go for all tourneys completed beyond your first 6. You will receive 1 bux per player in your tourney. This will be awarded automatically by cases as you close your tourneys.

Click on the Create Tournament button (ONLY do this 1 time!! I will create a tourney for every time you push this button) and your tourney will be created. The next guide is listed below and will cover editing tourney info and running the tourney.
